Who are we?

Liceum Ogólnokształcące in Sucha Beskidzka is the upper secondary school, which educates each year an average of about 800 students aged 15 to 19. The educational staff is about 75 teachers.

The school offers general education. Students choose classes with an extended Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, History or foreign languages program. Students attend classes which develop their talents and interests, including classes in Astronomy, School Theatre,Sports, shooting, chess and literary clubs and youth volunteering. International contacts are developed through the implementation of a youth exchange program with schools from several European countries. Teachers plan and implement various projects in the field of improvement of professional skills. The director of school puts great emphasis on providing the teachers with optimal working conditions necessary for the efficient execution of the educational process and for the development and improvement of professional skills, as well as the realization of ambitions of professional teachers. Teachers realize following activities: cooperation with scientific institutions and universities, participation in various form of improvement organized by these organizations like: Polish Academy of Sciences, Education Development Centre, Polish Space Agency and European Space Agency.

European Dimmension

They participate in foreign study visits and courses, implementation of trainings, workshops and methodical conferences. There were implementation of 6 projects financed from EU which concerned: improving skills to use modern technology in the educational process, use of means of artistic expression in education, particularly in the area of special educational needs and improving methodological skills of teachers (Inquiry Based Learning, Go-lab and Graasp). Teachers took part in projects VISConti and UPPScience which were created by Norges Teknisk-Naturvitenskapelige Universitet. Teachers are cooperating with Galileo Teacher Training Program and two of them are Ambassador GTTP. Our school participated in the creating Global Science Opera (“Moon Village 2017” and “One Ocean 2018”) – http://globalscienceopera.com.
